Prasad Panda Alberta’s Minister of Infrastructure and the United Conservative MLA for Calgary-Edgemont. First elected in a by-election in 2015 in the riding of Calgary-Foothills he was re-elected in the 2019 provincial general election in the new riding of Calgary-Edgemont. A professional engineer by trade with decades of experience working in Oil and Gas around the world, Prasad is passionate about energy issues. In opposition, Prasad was at the forefront of the United Conservatives’ fight to defend the Oil & Gas Industry and the thousands of Albertans who work in it. He also worked hard to promote new pipelines to tidewater in every direction, and was a forceful critic of the NDP’s bungling of the electricity file, and promoted growing Alberta’s economy around the world.
